The petrolhead presents we get often are a bit, well disappointing. They are given with well meaning, but just a car related present is not enough. A drift enthusiast might be given a book on American cars, or an off roader might get a car cleaning kit. We know these are unsuitable, but the less motoring educated may not.
This gift guide was written to show there is much more than just books and t-shirts available as petrolhead presents.
Hi Octane Jewelry have an amazing collection of hot rod themed car jewellery (jewelry if your in the USA). American muscle cars and hot rods feature heavily in the collect but the odd european vehicle makes an appearance. Their Hot Rod ring range can be seen here – http://tidd.ly/1004a777

There are plenty of ‘upcycled’ furniture that any petrolhead would be proud of, from lights made from old petrol cans to sofas made from half cars. It does also depend on how your partner would feel about having half a car for a sofa, an old engine block as a table and the room lit by lamps made from old car parts and garage equipment – sounds like my dream mancave.
Here’s just a few currently for sale now, but be quick as these upcycled items are handmade one off products – so once its sold its gone for good.
