In excess of 1,000 of the world’s most sensational supercars and sought-after classics are set to appear at the Blenheim Palace Classic & Supercar on Sunday, September 2. In a very short space of time, Blenheim Palace Classic & Supercar has generated so much consumer attention, that it’s fair to say, it has fast become Oxfordshire’s very own Motor Show. With the majority of super, luxury & hypercar marques represented alongside well-known classic car specialists & dealers and upwards of 400 Porsche models celebrating the iconic marque’s 70th birthday, it truly is an automotive bonanza!
Central to the day’s activities is the Pirelli Prestige & Performance Competition. Located within the spectacular Great Court, it is the 4th consecutive year for Pirelli to headline this unique competition which features 80 hand-picked supercars from 1978 to the present day all competing for the Pirelli ‘Best of Show’ award. The cars are presented in 8 different classes as follows: ‘Evolution of the Supercar’, ‘Open Top Porsche 911s’, ‘Super V8s’, ‘Hypercars’, ‘Lamborghini V12s’, ‘Targas’, ‘200mph Club (Open)’, ‘200mph Club (Closed)’
A panel of industry experts adjudicate over the competition with well-known TV presenter and self-proclaimed petrol-head, Nikki Shields acting as MC.
Co-Founder & Sales Director, David Bagley said “The Pirelli Prestige & Performance Competition has become a must-attend event for owners, collectors and enthusiasts of modern classics, specifically, super & sports cars produced from 1978 to the current day and we are justifiably proud of how the competition has developed with the continuing support of Pirelli. It is a unique opportunity for visitors and entrants alike to experience a concours-style event – it’s friendly but competitive! “
