Its only January but could this be the barn find of the year? A total of 81 cars from the 50s to the 80s were found in and around a dilapidated barn in rural France. Amongst the more common cars, only rare now due to their age, are some real diamonds in the rough.
The rarest and most valued is a Lamborghini Miura P400 with just over 48,000 miles on the speedometer and is expected to bring between 400,000 to 600,000 euros when the collection is auctioned today (20th January 2019). Despite looking complete with four inverted carburettors, a manual gearbox, hydraulic disc brakes and alloy wheels, this Lamborghini will require some parts replaced like the wheel nuts since they come from a Ferrari – not sure why but would like to know the story behind it.
Other gems include a Series I Jaguar E-Type along with a pre-A Porsche 356, a load of luxury American cars and a C3 Corvette. An interesting 1930s Citroen van is also in the hoard.
Amongst the lots going to auction are a cache of parts including Packard parts and a Ferrari 250 GTO fibreglass bodykit.
