The Range Rover Classic is a true British icon and it takes a company that’s sympathetic to the original design and one that has years of expertise in upgrading iconic British classics to successfully improve on the original. Thankfully Jensen International Automotive is one of these companies. Although specialising in Jensen’s they turned their attention to the classic Gentleman’s offroader.
I saw this beauty at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2017 and was stunned by its styling while staying true to the original design.
The beauty is more than skin deep, ditching the original Rover V8 and replacing it with a 560bhp LSA engine from GM and 6 speed transmission (as used in the Interceptor R) allied to a bulletproof GM transfer box (as used in the Jensen FF-R). To handle all that power is a modernised chassis design with all independent air suspension.
The interior has also been luxuriously updated throughout with mod cons like in built sat nav and bespoke switchgear.
