Not a barn find, but more of a garage find. This 1956 Mercedes-Benz 190SL restoration project is being offered by auction at Barons Classic Winter Warmer at Sandown Park, Tuesday 28th February 2017.
This neglected Mercedes is likely to be very tempting to collectors looking to restore a such an iconic car. Untouched for around 40 years, this car was purchased as a restoration project in the mid 1970s, but very little work was carried out before it was put into dry storage. The engine has been started every so often, and it is said to start and run well, and the car will actually drive. A very tempting project for the serious collector.
